The Guest Book Podcast - EP016 - The WPC Key Elements - Wellness, Mindset & Mindfulness - PT4
Hey there, my lovely! Hope you're well and you are looking after yourself. If you're struggling at the moment with everything, then take this moment to relax and reset.
In this weeks episode of The Guest Book Podcast I delve deep into the aspects of self-care, mindfulness, and mindset. Join me as we explore how these key elements can greatly enhance your wedding planning journey and empower you to create a day filled with love, joy, and peace.
So sit back, relax, and let's dive in!
Here are some key points from this weeks episode.
Prioritising Self-Care: In this episode, I'll candidly acknowledge a common tendency among many of us – putting ourselves last and prioritising the needs of others, sound familiar? But remember, beautiful bride, taking care of yourself is not a mere indulgence; it is a necessity to be the best version of yourself for others. Incorporating self-care routines and rituals into your daily life can profoundly impact your well-being, reducing stress, enhancing focus, and elevating your creativity levels.
Mindset Matters: Honestly, your mindset and attitude whilst on this wedding planning journey will make or break your experience. I want you to really consider the choices that you make along the way, one of those being in the power of carefully selecting your bridesmaids, considering their potential impact on your mental well-being. Effective communication, as highlighted in a previous episode with Rachel Harper, is crucial in wedding planning to navigate conflicts and complicated situations with grace.
Letting Go of Limiting Beliefs: Lets explores the concept of using mental health issues as an excuse for not pursuing our dreams, touching upon the phenomenon of imposter syndrome. They remind us that continuously self-sabotaging by telling ourselves we "can't" because of anxiety or depression only reinforces those limiting beliefs, hindering our potential. It's essential to be self-aware and recognise when our fears may be holding us back. Now I'm not at all disreguarding your struggles, believe me I know how dark and lonely that place is, just remember take it one day at a time and be gentle with yourself. Don't always believe what your mind tells you.
Navigating Unexpected Challenges: Wedding planning is a beautiful journey, but it can still bring its fair share of unexpected triggers and complicated dynamics. My mission is to equip you with a better understanding of the planning process, helping you navigate potential challenges with clarity and resilience. Draw upon personal experiences and the power of intuition, encouraging you to tap into your inner voice as a guide.
Managing Stress and Finding Balance: Life can get overwhelming, especially while planning a wedding. I explore techniques for managing tiredness and stress, offering practical advice for raising energy levels and addressing emotions such as worry, nervousness, and anxiety. I'll also share a relatable scenario of waking up feeling stressed about work, and through my insights, encourage you to seek solace in nature and establish a self-care routine.
Practicing Gratitude and Coping: Gratitude is a mighty tool in managing depression, stress, and suffocation. The profound impact of intentionally seeking out and appreciating the things we are grateful for. While depression may persist, practicing gratitude helps us cope by shifting our focus, allowing positive emotions to overshadow the negative.
Harnessing the Power of Journaling: Journaling is a deeply personal resource that provides solace, coping mechanisms, and a space to express our innermost thoughts. I have the big future intention of potentially publishing a book based on my own business journals, the significance of journaling will also leave a legacy for my daughter. Whether it's coping with loneliness, stress, or simply capturing fleeting moments, journaling can be a powerful ally on your wedding planning journey. Remember it captures your life story!
Embracing Your Authentic Beauty: Dress shopping can stir up insecurities for many brides-to-be. I have my own vulnerabilities and I know the importance of approaching dress shopping mindfully. Remember, lovelies, confidence radiates from within. Cherish your unique beauty and embrace self-acceptance. Avoid making drastic changes right before your big day and opt for a skincare routine that prioritizes nourishing your skin's health and vitality.
Now, before I go on, grab a cup of tea or a glass of wine and let's dive into this beautiful and important topic further, if you would prefer to listen click link below, or alternatively the link to my youtube video is at the bottom of this blog.
